About me

I studied a Master of Biomedical Biotechnology in the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and I was granted to perform a Summer Internship in 2012 in the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ, Heidelberg) in the Experimental Therapies for Hematologic Malignancies, where I was supervised to follow a project of centrosomal amplification and cancer. Then, I developed my final master project in the Cancer and Development Group of the UCH-CEU University, that consisted in the combination of several compounds for the treatment of myeloproliferative neoplasms.

In 2014 I joined the Cell Division and Cancer group (at CNIO) as a PhD student, and since then, I work on deciphering the relevance of a cell cycle kinase in cancer. In particular, I am focused on the characterization of indel mutations observed in such kinase and how those mutants may influence the establishment and development of certain cancers.
